Us guys are different animals.

A woman drives a Toyota Camry. A man drives a Toyota Tundra. A guy drives a 1972 Toyota Land Cruiser J-4 with both the original metal top and a canvas top for summertime, and a 327 Chevy engine conversion. And it still runs great!

A woman learns to drive from her father (usually a man). A man takes driver’s education classes. A guy learns driving skills on dirt bikes, quads, jeeps, or tractors, often long before he is legal driving age.

Is the Adventist Church a place for us guys?
Can you be an Adventist and still be a regular guy?
How does religion work in a guy’s life?

Life for us guys is different than life for anyone else. The important thing to remember is that God created guys for a special purpose. That purpose just isn’t always obvious.

Author Charles Burkeen was a guy a long time before he became an Adventist pastor. He’s still a guy today.

He explains the importance of spiritual concepts in terms us guys can understand.

You must have fuel in your tanks.
It must be the right fuel.
And you need a full tank at all times.

He answers vital questions such as, “Can a vegetarian still go hunting?”
He draws on incidents from his own life that only us guys can understand and relate to.
He knows how difficult it can be for us guys to ask for help—even from God.
But of one thing he is sure—The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a place where us guys can grow spiritually and make a unique contribution.
